Determining the presence and abundance of grassland and wood frogs is an important environmental task, and over the past 12-14 years a sharp decline in the abundance of grassland frogs has been observed. Acoustic methods are used to obtain data by processing outdoor sound recordings. At present, processing these recordings is a lengthy manual process that could be significantly accelerated by machine processing. The aim of this project is to automate and improve the efficiency of the currently used procedures, and to acoustically separate the two frog species using machine processing and AI.
