Media over QUIC (MoQ) is an upcoming standard for low-latency media distribution. It supports, for example, live streaming, gaming, and media conferencing. For this purpose, MoQ follows a publisher-subscriber model, and uses a content delivery network architechture over WebTransport or raw QUIC. QUIC provides end-to-end security, reduced connection establishment times with its 0RTT feature, adaptive congestion control algorithms, NAT traversal techniques, and the capability of multiplexing independent streams of data into a single connection. The task of the Student is to contribute to the ongoing research and development work aimed at understanding, measuring, evaluating Media over QUIC, in close collaboration with our industrial partner, Ericsson.
